• brashear / brashears family cemetery, sugar grove valley, roane co, tn:
  robert samuel brashear/s, born in brashear meadow, prince george’s co, md, is currently believed to be the first white settler in what would become roane county, tennessee [source: snyder e roberts, roots of roane county, tennessee 1792-, 1981]. he is buried with many early members of his family behind a house built by the edwards family where his had been in sugar grove valley. he is my fifth great-grandfather.
  • a 61-page photo album of the brashear or brashears family cemetery is hosted on one of my tn type sites at kiddo ink. the photos were taken on trips home between sep 2003 and aug 2004. the following link goes to my introductory page and contains a direct link to the album:

mc pherson family cemetery, ten mile - this is a 51-page album with genealogy notes and grave marker transcripts of the cemetery, which is also known as ewing cemetery. i photographed the cemetery in sep 2003. many of barton and parthenea (hale) mcpherson’s descendents are buried here with them.

mt olivet cemetery, chattanooga, hamilton co, tn - photos of several of the wonderful memorial sculptures in the cemetery and the grave marker and genealogy notes for louise (nee carroll) webster.

poe cemetery, soddy daisy, hamilton co, tn - photo album. this album contains location and context photos as well as photographs of the graves of sarah c. “sallie” stevens. first wife of george washington phillips, and beulah phillips, daughter of william abraham “bud” phillips and jimmie l. “lula” sarratt, roane county residents.

winton chapel and winton chapel cemetery, roane county, tennessee- photo album with grave marker transcripts and genealogy notes includes individuals from the haggard, ellis, keylon, montgomery, and winton families, among others. currently the album has 36 images. always - more soon….
