poe cemetery photo album - poe cemetery, daisy, hamilton co, tn. buried here are sarah c. “sallie” stevens and beulah phillips. sallie was the first wife of george washington phillips and mother of william abraham “bud” phillips of south harriman. beulah was the daughter of bud and jimmie l. “lula” sarratt. sarah c. “sallie” stevens is my 2d great-grandmother.
- ellis family cemetery, south of the river near the old rockwood ferry landing. this album depicts the land and location of the graves of william monroe “monroe” and lucy bowling of roane co, tn. they are my 2d great-grandparents. although their graves are unmarked and the exact burial ground inaccessible in 2003, this album shows its location and gives a good idea of the ellis holdings on the south side of the river in the early to mid-19th century. the notes include genealogical connections and information as well as a copy of the ellis marriage certificate.
